What if I go over quota?
Every plan is a flat monthly fee with a fixed monthly merge allowance — no surprise overage bills, ever. When you reach your plan's allowance your API keys pause until the next cycle (or until you upgrade). Pick the tier that fits your volume; move up any time.
Frequently asked
How do paid plans work?
Start free, then subscribe to Hobby, Starter, Pro, or Scale from the pricing page or your dashboard. Each is a flat monthly fee with a fixed merge allowance and no overage; upgrade, downgrade, or cancel any time.
What counts as one merge?
One successful POST /v1/merge response (HTTP 200). Failed requests, blob uploads, and cache lookups don't count. Cached blob hits are free.
Can I self-host?
Self-hosting is available on Scale via a talk-to-us arrangement — same engine, your infra, no usage telemetry leaving your network. Reach out and we'll scope it.
How do you compare to Aspose?
Aspose is the fidelity standard but starts at US$1,199/devfor .NET, with no Go option. We're Go-native, flat-fee, and ship the same Word- Mac compatibility for the merge use case. See comparison.
Do you store our DOCX files?
Inline blobs are cached by content hash for 24 hours, then auto-deleted. Hash-first uploads persist until evicted by LRU. Per-tenant cache isolation is enforced. See Privacy.
What about PDF output?
Not in v1. We may add a PDF post-processing add-on later. Today we focus on doing one job — DOCX → DOCX merge — exceptionally well.
