1. The Service
mergedocx.dev ("the Service", "we", "us") is operated by mergedocx. The Service is a hosted software product that merges Microsoft Word (.docx) documents: you send a base template and one or more source documents to our HTTP API, and we return a single combined .docx file. These Terms govern your use of the Service, its API, and this website.
2. Accounts
To use the API you create an account and generate API keys. You are responsible for keeping your keys secret and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service.
3. Plans, billing & subscriptions
The Service offers a free tier and paid subscription plans described on the Pricing page. Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring monthly basis and renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Payments are processed by our Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy, who handles billing, invoicing, and applicable taxes on our behalf. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. Each plan includes a fixed monthly merge allowance; when the allowance is reached, API keys pause until the next billing cycle or an upgrade.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) use the Service to process content that is illegal in your jurisdiction; (b) attempt to extract, reverse-engineer, or denial-of- service the Service; (c) submit content containing malware or designed to exploit the engine; (d) resell or redistribute the Service as a substantially similar standalone product. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
5. Your content
You retain all rights to documents you submit. We process them transiently to produce merged output and do not use your documents to train models or for any purpose other than delivering the Service. See the Privacy Policy for cache and retention details.
6. Warranty & liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, mergedocx is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above; continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance.
